Undensified Silica Fume
A 94% SiO₂ undensified silica fume engineered for high-performance concrete and demanding refractory castables. Its controlled agglomeration improves handling and transport while allowing rapid dispersion under normal mixing shear.
Product Overview
A 94% SiO₂ undensified silica fume engineered for high-performance concrete and demanding refractory castables. Its controlled agglomeration improves handling and transport while allowing rapid dispersion under normal mixing shear.
Fine amorphous particles fill capillary voids and support pozzolanic or ceramic bonding. Batch control covers chemistry, moisture, loss on ignition and bulk density (240–400 kg/m³). Ask MSILI to match the grade to your binder, dosage and process before scale-up.
Product Advantages
Fills microvoids and refines particle packing.
Breaks down under normal mechanical shear without chemical binders.
Can improve strength, impermeability and service durability when correctly formulated.
COA-backed lots and packaging options for trials or bulk production.

Performance Comparison
Based on existing formulation tests, this section shows reference performance improvement from the micro-filling effect and pozzolanic reaction of silica fume. Actual results vary with matrix type, mix design, dosage, dispersion and process conditions, so sample testing is recommended.

FAQ
Answers to common purchasing questions about packaging, export documents, sample trials, loading and delivery.
94% Silica Fume represents a higher purity of silicon dioxide. Compared to standard grades, it contains lower levels of impurities (such as carbon, alkali metal oxides, iron oxides, etc.). In high-end applications (such as UHPC—ultra-high-performance concrete—or aluminosilicate refractory castables), these extremely low impurity levels result in fewer side reactions, superior long-term durability, and more controllable physicochemical properties, which fundamentally improve the yield and service life of the end product.
94% Undensified Silica Fume is an ideal choice for ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), reactive powder concrete (RPC), high-end precast components, and specialty refractory materials (such as corundum refractories). For projects requiring compressive strengths exceeding 150 MPa, exceptional resistance to chloride ion penetration, or structural stability under extreme high-temperature conditions, the 94% grade provides unparalleled filling effects and pozzolanic activity.
94% Silica Fume is relatively expensive and has extremely strict purity requirements. The undensified form not only significantly increases bulk density—facilitating long-distance transportation and storage—but, more importantly, drastically reduces dust generation during the batching process at the factory. In precision laboratory or automated production line environments, the undensified form ensures a clean batching environment, preventing high-purity powder from dispersing into the air and causing waste and environmental pollution.
Yes. Because the particles in the 94% grade are extremely fine and have a very high specific surface area, this product is highly sensitive to water content. When designing the mix, it is strongly recommended to use a high-performance polycarboxylic water-reducing admixture in conjunction with it. Due to the high purity of the 94% Silica Fume itself, it is highly compatible with water-reducing admixtures. Through scientific blending of water-reducing admixtures, it is possible to significantly enhance the density of the cured structure while maintaining excellent slurry flowability.
We fully understand that high-end customers have extremely high requirements for formulation stability. Every batch of 94% Undensified Silica Fume undergoes rigorous screening, impurity testing, and pozzolanic activity index testing before leaving the factory to ensure that the silica content remains stable at 94% or higher. We provide a detailed Certificate of Analysis (COA) with each shipment, documenting key indicators such as major components, density, and loss on ignition, ensuring that customers can consistently reuse their formulations with every purchase without the need for frequent adjustments to test parameters.
For this 94% powder, we use laminated woven ton bags or 25-kg reinforced laminated woven bags with excellent moisture-proof properties. For export packaging, stretch film is applied as an outer layer during palletization. This multi-layered protective design effectively blocks atmospheric moisture, preventing the powder from absorbing moisture and clumping. Even during transport in shipping containers or long-distance logistics, it ensures the product retains extremely high dryness and flowability upon arrival at the destination.
